Tanning Mom Action Figure … Remember that New Jersey woman who's a compulsive suntanner, and took her daughter to a tanning studio?  Her picture was a huge viral sensation recently, and SNL even had a skit about it last weekend.  Now there’s an action figure of this broad.  Her name is Patricia Krentcil, and the company producing the doll is called “Hero Builders,” here’s their site: http://www.herobuilders.com/themed-action-figures/realdolls.htm

MOTHER’s DAY is tomorrow!  Make sure you give your Mom a big hug & kiss.  Sadly, my sweet mother passed away last year, but I still think about her every day; I love you Mom!

Breastfeeding Mom On "TIME” magazine cover … This one – to me – is funny, a little weird, maybe even a bit disgusting.  On the cover of the May 21^st edition of “Time” magazine, there’s a picture of a mom breastfeeding her son.  But, he’s not a baby anymore; the kid is FOUR YEARS OLD (next month), standing on a chair, with his mouth latched on and suckin’ away!  I think the kid’s too old; the mom is real hot though!  How about the scarring this kid'll face for the next bunch of years?  This is definitely going to stir up a little controversy: http://www.time.com/time/covers/0,16641,20120521,00.html

On This Date ... A big day in history today as the world famous Eiffel Tower in Paris opened on May 6, 1889 and the German zeppelin "Hindenburg" caught fire while attempting to dock in New Jersey in 1937; 36 people died.

Slave Lake Fires Anniversary Concert … The middle of this month marks one year since fires devastated Slave Lake, and there’s going to be an anniversary concert NEXT Friday night at Slave Lake’s Arctic Ice Centre.  It’s the “Home Sweet Home” concert featuring MOTLEY CRUE’s Vince Neil as the headliner, along with special guest … Metal Queen, LEE AARON!

Full Moon … Did you happen to get a glimpse at last night’s “Super Moon”?  It was actually quite spectacular, and there was a meteor shower last night too.

Time To Howl … Tonight there’s a full moon, and it’s going to be the best full moon of the year.  The moon will be about 40,000 km closer to earth than usual, because of where it’s at in its orbit around us.  It’s called a “Super Moon” and it’ll seem to be a bit bigger, and definitely brighter; check the sky between 9:30 and 10.

Crazy Tanning Mom … Have you heard about, or seen pictures ...

Wanna feel old quickly?  It was 20 years ago today that riots began in Los Angeles over the acquittal of the police officers charged in the beating of Rodney King.  The riots lasted for six days, 53 people died, and thousands of buildings were destroyed.

Highway 63 Tragedy … This sucks, it's sad, and something needs to be done.  Seven people died after another crash on Alberta's highway 63.  People are outraged that the provincial government still has NOT twinned the so-called “Death Highway” after promising to do it over six years ago; WTF?!
