Rock 101 question and answer: Thu Oct 4 [Rage Against The Machine]

I guess the new cool thing is to remove your teeth (see the video below)…

When approached by TMZ.com's crew and camera and asked if RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE was working on a new album, the band's bassist, Tim Commerford, replied, "Maybe." (See video below.)

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE released its last studio album, "Renegades", in 2000. The band disbanded that year and reunited in 2007, but despite playing a number of live shows has not recorded anything new.

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE guitarist Tom Morello in 2010 dismissed as "inaccurate" a quote from the group's frontman Zack De la Rocha where the singer reportedly said that the chances of the band recording a new album are better now than they have been before. "There's no plans for that now," Morello said. "The band gets along great, we're playing some of the best shows of our career over the last couple of years, and no one is ruling out that... But as a band, I hope that we will continue to, at a minimum, play shows in the future."

Rock 101 question: What did Tim Commerford’s (Bass player for Rage) dad do when he was growing up?

Rock 101 answer: His father was an aerospace engineer and he worked on the Space Shuttle.
