Edmonton OILERS Draft Pick … The Edmonton Oilers (a force to be reckoned with) didn’t really surprise anyone yesterday with their first overall pick in this year’s NHL Entry Draft. The Copper & Blue went with highly-coveted Russian winger, Nail Yakupov, and now have an arsenal of weapons. Yet Another Oil Spill … A couple days ago it was announced that another pipeline oil spill happened near Elk Point. Almost a quarter million litres gushed out of Enbridge’s Athabasca pipeline. Edmonton ESKIMOS Football … Last Thursday was their final pre-season game, and they lost to the Grey Cup champ B-C Lions at Commonwealth.
