First Weekend Of Summer!
Yuk-A-Flux Party … Have you ever had the pleasure of attending and participating in a “Yuk-A-Flux” party? If you answered “no,” then you better change that. Here’s the deal ... You and a bunch of friends get together one night and chop up a bunch of fruit – strawberries, oranges, melons, grapes, pineapple, cherries, etc. Prepare LOTS of it! Then you put a bunch of the fruit in a clean, large capacity cooler or plastic bin (at least 50 litres). Then pour in a variety of clear liquor (vodka, rum, gin, tequila), and a bottle or two of wine. Let the mixture sit over night, then have your friends over, add a bag or two of ice, and enjoy the healthy buzz! Make sure some of your guests bring their booze the night before, and make sure you have lots of fruit to keep adding to the mix. As other guests arrive, they just add their liquor to the bin. It’s a great Summer party idea; but beware of the pain of the special "Juice" and the spiked "Fruit" the next day!
Euro 2012 Soccer Championship … TODAY is day 17 of the EURO 2012 Soccer Championship; one of the most watched sporting events in the world. This afternoon’s game had ITALY crushing ENGLAND 4-2 in a penalty kick shootout. The semi-finals start Wednesday with SPAIN vs. PORTUGAL, and Thursday it's GERMANY vs. ITALY. Edmonton ESKIMOS Football … Last Thursday was their final pre-season game, and they lost to the Grey Cup champ B-C Lions at Commonwealth.
