HORSES DIE AT CALGARY STAMPEDE … This seems to be an annual ritual now; more animals have died at the “Greatest Outdoor Show On Earth.” I’m an animal lover, so when I see a story like this I get a little sad, and then I remember that the Calgary Stampede is another reason Calgary sucks. ENBRIDGE IN MORE HOT WATER … I think Alberta oil giant, Enbridge, needs a new Public Relations person, or a campaign. In the past few months the company has been deflecting criticism over some nasty pipeline oil spills, and now they’re taking some flak over a corporate presentation depicting Enbridge’s oil as “more ethical” than oil from the Middle East. SYLVESTER STALLONE’S SON FOUND DEAD … Legendary action film star, Sylvester Stallone, a.k.a. “Rocky” or “Rambo” is grieving after the news of his son’s sudden death in Hollywood yesterday. Sage Stallone appeared in two films with his dad, and was very involved in the movie industry; he was 36 years old.
