I LOVE CALIFORNIA ... I just returned from spending the past week in California, and I dig it more every time I go there.  My wife's brother married an L-A girl, and it was a Greek ceremony, with the reception on a mountain-side golf course; it was like something from a TV show!  We rented a car for the week and checked out a ton of sights, including Hollywood, where I got a picture taken with Bob Marley's star on the "Walk Of Fame," we also checked out the freak show at Venice Beach.  Surprisingly, Venice ain't what it used to be; it's way more touristy than even five years ago, and it didn't have the same "Bohemian / Hippie" feel that used to make it so cool.  Regardless, I still love Cali!

SECOND LAST WEEKEND OF SUMMER ... I hate this time of year; the leaves have started falling off the trees, the sun sets before 9pm, and the nights are getting noticably cooler.  The problem is that there's still two actual weeks of Summer left.  Does it roll by quicker every year?  Or am I just afraid to admit that I'm getting old and time does fly by at a nastier rate as your age increases.  Highs of 25 in the sunshine today and tomorrow, get out there and enjoy it!

HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT ON MONDAY … At 7:10 on Monday morning, Paul, Yukon, and Gillian will announce all the details of the Bear's 20th HALLOWEEN HOWLER!  If you've been to the Howler before, you know how insane this party is; the biggest, baddest bash every year in Edmonton!  If you're new to the city, words don't do it justice; you have to go and experience the mayhem to believe all the tales!
