DAILY WARDEN TRACK: The feature song today is from an Australian band who was known as Rishikesh when they first formed, but are now called The VINES.  They began playing 60's-retro and evolved their sound into a garage-y / alternative-ish style.  In 2002 the band won the ARIA "Breakthrough Artist - Single" award for their track "Get Free," and today I'm sharing a cut from their 2004 album "Winning Days."  Apparently they have a new record coming out before the end of this year too, so click "play" in the album graphic and get ready for a wicked "RIDE"!

THE IMPORTANCE OF EARBUDS & WU-TANG: 1. Over the past 15 years, "earbuds" have changed the way we listen to music, they've also changed the way it's produced.  2. Wu-Tang Clan's new album will only have one copy, so you'll have to listen it in a museum, and hopefully you'll be able to plug your 'buds into the museum's interpretive unit.  See exactly what the hell I'm talking about here.

BRITISH COLUMBIA LIKES BOOZE: Yesterday I gave you a link about the Montreal 6am bar experiment the city will test out this Summer.  B.C. is also getting aggressive with some new legislation allowing people of legal drinking age to roam freely at an event with an alcoholic beverage in hand.  No more caged cattle in the beer garden, ha ha, double-fist the boozy-woozy details here.

ARTISTS LOSE WITH STREAMING MUSIC: I'm not necessarily a big fan of 30 Seconds To Mars, but I have an ever expanding respect for lead singer, Jared Leto.  Not only is the guy an excellent actor, but his band has steadily gained more global fans with every album release, and he's also an activist, for musicians.  He just released a new documentary film called "Artifact," take a look through his eyes here.

#94 RYAN SMYTH SHINES POST OILERS: A couple weeks ago, long time Edmonton Oiler, Ryan Smyth, said farewell to the faithful fans after his final NHL game that capped an incredible "heart & soul" career.  Smyth & his family have decided to stay in Edmonton, and on Friday night he continued his humanitarian work with the Stollery Children's Hospital "family night," check it out here.
