DAILY WARDEN TRACK: This time around it's a song from a band that got almost completely overshadowed during the Grunge era.  Luckily they had some pretty decent songs that kept 'em in the game, but just out of the limelight compared to the big players of the time.  It's CANDLEBOX, whose first album "Candlebox" (1993), was actually pretty big when it first came out, but it was a little too late to take advantage of the scenario, with Grunge already starting its decline.  Regardless, they did get a lot of mileage out of their catalog (five studio discs over 19 years), and their first record really was excellent.  Click "play" to the right for a throwback to one of Seattle's lesser known 90's bands with "CHANGE."

REAL-LIFE "PROJECT X" PARTY: If you've never seen the movie "Project X," it's about a massive house party that some teens throw, and it's actually pretty crazy.  This is another case of "life imitating art," as a house bash in Brampton, ON, Friday night drew almost 2,000 teenagers, and caused over $70,000 in damage, check pics & vid here.  And on the other side of the coin, a girl in Germany did the same thing, but with much better results, proving once again Europeans are better drinkers than North Americans, read about that gathering here.

NEW KURT COBAIN DEATH SCENE NOTE: Last month marked the 20th anniversary of the death of Kurt Cobain, the former frontman of legendary band, Nirvana.  Not only did police in Seattle announce that they'd found some undeveloped film from the crime scene, but they just released a note they found in Cobain's wallet at the time as well.  It painted a less-than-pretty picture of Courtney Love, check it out here.
