First Pictures from Mars Rover "Curiosity"
NASA'S rover titled "Curiosity" has successfully landed on the planet Mars. A skilled team watched from a jet propulsion laboratory as the rover broke through the planet's atmosphere at speeds exceeding 20,000 km/h. After deploying a supersonic parachute, and then finally being lowered by a cable from a hovering rocket powered module, the rover sucessfully landed on the ground of the red planet. The rover features an articulated power drill, a high powered laser beam, and several types of high-resolution cameras. By the end of the rover's journey, it will have cost 2.5 billion dollars to maintain and complete... The first images from rover to Earth have been sent..... and... Mars looks like a gravel pit.
