Yukon's Yap..."teachers are underpaid and thankless"?? Get a clue, champ. $80,000-100,000/y for around 8.5 working months (at 32-35 hours a week) is 'underpaid'?
And I'm not sure the work qualifies as 'thankless' when everyone and their brother is under the mistaken impression that it's the worlds worst job and these folks are saints...

@Jay Jay, you are a retard! If you think teachers only work 32 hours a week you are totally clueless. Teachers take their work home with them everyday and spend countless hours on their own time marking assignments and test's.

@Jay Jay your comments here show your ignorance about what a teachers job actually entails and how much they make. Teachers work much more then 32-35 hours per week. They often come in early and stay late or work during their lunches to help students who need extra help. Many also spend time helping with activities like coaching sports or other extra-curricular activities. They also spend countless hours preparing lessons, marking, report cards and other such activities in the evenings and weekends. Also teaching can be an extremely mentally stressful job having to deal with difficult students and often their parents who like yourself don't understand or respect teachers and their work to its full extent. Yes teachers have great holiday time but many spend the first part of this de-stressing from their year and then some of it planning and preparing for next. Lastly I am not sure where you get your numbers but a starting teacher gets under 60,000 a year and thats with a raise they just received this year and no teacher even at their max 100,000 not that you would even think of this but those figures include people with their masters.

Its an informative video with some hilarious examples of sexual abuse. I think
it was fine to show students.

Please, oh please, tell me this is one of your hysterical jokes. No teacher in his/her right mind could possibly show this to their students. If one of my sons was exposed to this video in school, you would want to be steering clear of the area, I have slight (Ok, extreme) Mama Bear Syndrom. As far as teachers, I think on the most part they are awesome. My kids have had mostly great teachers, and I do think that the ones that put in the extra time deserve more than they get. Teaching is a tough gig, and I commeng those who are willing to take on that role.

As a former teacher this video is completely inappropriate and abusive to show to children. It's unfair to characterize ALL teachers as incompetent, careless, overpaid etc. However, I'm not sure who in their right mind would purposely show this for a classroom of kids. I wouldn't use it with adult students or employees to teach on the subject. My guess: this teacher may have grabbed this video and thrown in on to fit with the topic, without reviewing it first - HUGE mistake. Additionally, sexual harrassment in the workplace is a lot more subtle than these over-sensationalized, explicit examples.

wow that was hilarious... I had to watch it twice.

but ya, i agree that it is definitely not appropriate to show young children that video. maybe 12th graders for some comedic relief while talking about sexual harassment but definitely not 7th graders or whatever grade Yukon said it was, or anyone under the age of 17 for that matter, for the language obviously.

    rubbing cocks together? really?

I agree with Karen. Completely inappropriate for 7th grade level. By todays standards, that would be borderline inappropriate to actually show to adult employees in the work place. If the teacher actually had a justified reason to educate students on workplace harassment legislation, that teacher may want to do a little homework first.
I had to laugh that the comments in that video were completely idiotic. But absolutely not appropriate for kids. There are far more age appropriate ways of addressing sensitive topics with kids.
