Drift for the Kids

100.3 The Bear is proud to support Drift for the Kids 2016 on Sunday August 28 at Edmonton International Raceway in Wetaskiwin presented by Everlasting Drift Authority

Enjoy a day the race track along with a car show and bouncy houses!

Gates open at 12PM and entry fee is $20 per person with children under the age of 16 FREE!

The entire event is in support of the Stollery Childrens Hospital Foundation with some of the children that have been helped by the Stollery acting as celebrity judges for the event.

Meet a Machine

JDRF presents the 2nd annual Parkwood Master Builder's “Meet a Machine” is coming to the Northlands parking lot on August 28th from 11am – 3pm!

Meet a Machine is fun, family-oriented event where kids can see, sit, and climb on all kinds of different equipment, from agricultural,industrial, and construction machinery to unique vehicles.

Tickets are $3 each or $10 per family. Tickets are available at the gate(cash-only) or online. Parking at Northlands is $10.

All proceeds from the event and parking will go towards type 1 diabetes research.

Kick off Harvest Fair weekend with BaconFest, the festival celebrating one of the greatest foods on earth: bacon!

Taste your choice of many creative bacon recipes from over 10 locally renowned restaurants including the Hotel Fairmont MacDonald, Packrat Louie Kitchen and Bar, Zinc, Central Social Hall, Fort Edmonton Park, Sandwich and Sons, Sugared & Spiced Baked Goods, Bacon Boss, St. Johns Institute, Bacon Truck and more. Don’t miss live music by Mojave Iguanas, a beer garden and more.

Admission is $15.75 for adults and $10.50 for children and seniors and are available at

Climb of Hope 2016

100.3 The Bear proudly supports the Climb Of Hope Charity Run, Saturday September 17th at Victoria Park!

The Climb of Hope Run benefits the Cross Cancer Institute’s vision of a cancer-free future. This unique and spirited event sets itself apart by combining a 5.5km run or 3.5km walk with stair-climbing and rock ‘n’ roll music to keep you movin’ and groovin’ for an excellent cause! Inviting all ages, all athletic levels and all inner rockstars to put on their best big hair, add some eyeliner and rock out to knock out cancer!

Make-A-Wish Hope Run

100.3 The Bear is proud to support The Hope Run taking place on September 17th in Rundle Park.

The Hope Run is an independently organized 5KM walk/run and 15KM run with all proceeds benefitting Make-A-Wish® Northern Alberta. The average cost of a wish is $10,000. Their goal is to grant as many wishes as possible through registration fees and general donations.

Early Registration is open NOW until Monday September 12th. Early registration fees are $55 per person. All runners a will receive a race package with a Hope Run branded draw string back-pack, a pair of Hope Run athletic socks, a Hope Run buff, and a Hope Run T-shirt!

Children under the age of 12 can register for free if accompanied by an adult.
Late registration is available the day of the event and at race package pick up locations for $65 per person.

It is advised that runners show up 20 minutes prior to race start times in order to sign in.

8:45AM: Guided Warmup for 5KM Walk/Run
