NOTE: When contacting us, please record your browser version, your operating system version, your version of the Media Player, take a screen-shot(explained below) and submit it to

Question-New: Your stream looks different and now I cannot seem to connect ?
Answer: We will be updating our streams to use the latest Adobe Flash Player. Please make sure you download and install the latest player here.

Question: I cannot seem to connect to your stream in my Windows Media Player?
Answer: Now you can only connect to our streams from the websites and not directly using your Windows Media Player program.

Question: I want to stream your station over the Internet. But what do I need?
Answer: To successfully stream you need an Internet connection of at least 56 Kbps and  the latest Adobe Flash Player.

Question: The player says it is connecting but never connects.
Answer: Sometimes we reach the maximum amount of listeners on our main computers. Email us and we will have this number increased for you.

Question: The player says it is buffering frequently and interrupts your live stream.
Answer: There are delays introduced by the congestion on the Internet and sometimes by the speed of your Internet connection. Unfortunately, there is not much that we can do to rectify this problem. If you are on dial-up this may occur frequently.

Question: The player says it is waiting and then never connects.
Answer: Close your browser, wait 5 minutes and then try re-connecting. Sometimes we restart our streams and this causes the current streams to go into a 'waiting' state.

Question: Does your stream work on Windows, Mac and other platforms?
Answer: Yes. Our stream works on Windows, Macs and flavours of Unix, however we only support it on Windows and the Mac operating system.

Question: Is the Roku network media player device supported?
Answer: Currently we do not support this device. Contact your device manufacturer for support.

Question: I keep hearing the same thing over and over again?
Answer: One of our streaming servers may be experiencing some technical difficulties. Please contact us and we will have it fixed.

Prize Pick-Up

How To Pick Up Your Prize?
  • 100.3 The Bear  is open from 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday - Friday. Closed Sat-Sun and holidays.
  • If you are on your way to pick up a prize make sure you arrive prior to 4:30pm as all prizes are not accessible after this time.
Where is The Bear
What do I have to bring to receive my prize?
  • Some form of picture ID, such as a valid drivers license or passport
Can someone else pick up my prize?
  • Yes, however, the prize winner must contact The Bear during regular business hours to make pick up arrangements, even if you have made arrangements with the DJ when you won.  This includes pick-ups by couriers or family members and friends.  Call (780) 486-2800 to make arrangements.  Those designated to pick up your prize MUST have a copy of your ID or your prize will not be released to them.
How Long Do I Have To Pick Up My Prize?
  • You have 30 days.  Of course concert tickets, movie passes and other event tickets are date make sure you pick them up prior to the event.  If the date of your tickets has elapsed, The Bear will not make restitution.  After 30 days all prizes that are not picked up are either given away again or donated to charity.  NOTE: If a prize is not available for pick-up, the The Bear promotions department will contact you and tell you when the prize is available.
Does The Bear Mail Out Prizes?
  • No
Can I Exchange My Prize?
  • No, we deliberately designate prizes for certain contests and have obligations to the advertisers who have given us the prizes on their behalf.  If you are unable to use your prize we suggest giving it to a friend or charity of your choice.  Prizes have no-cash value.
Movie Passes
  • If you have a pass to an The Bear Movie Premiere, please arrive early to the movie theatre as seating is not guaranteed and seating is limited.  As a policy, the movie company's often given out more passes than the theatre can accommodate.  They are strictly first come first served basis.  No one will be admitted to the screening once the film has begun. Passes are not redeemable for cash or another film.  The movie companies and not The Bear provide prizes given away at the theatre.
Concert Cancellation
  • Occasionally concerts do not go ahead as planned for reason beyond the control of The Bear. The Bear  is not responsible for substituting a prize or refunding expenses incurred by the prize winner.
Awarding Prizes
  • In all matters relating to the awarding of prizes, the decision of 100.3 The Bear  is final.  We reserve the right to change contest rules at any time.
