Vancouver punksters Gob issued their debut album, How Far Shallow Takes You, in 1998; it was reissued in 1999 by Nettwerk, partly in order to achieve wider distribution for the group in the U.S. The original album consists of generally well-executed melodic punk rock in the style common in the 1990s; the bonus material features new songs and alternate versions. ~ Steve Huey, All Music Guide
