With this three-song sampling of what is to come on their soon to follow LP Relationship Of Command (plus one wildly aggressive unreleased track), At The Drive-in has further pushed themselves to the forefront of ingenious yet highly palatable musical expression. Folding together choppy and well-written riffs with ambient tones and harmonies, meshed with the downright beautiful vocal blooming of Cedric Bixler into a provocative style that can only be ATDI. One Armed Scissor suggests that the LP it represents will outdo anything the band has done to this point, creating a new breed that somehow feels like a coalition of '80s rock, ambient electronica, snarling Nation Of Ulysses-esque punk rock, and something sonically undefinable. Read More
