Huuda Harkiten is definitely one of the most promising Finnish debut albums, and one of the most complex at the same time. When Yup's biggest influences are The Dead Kennedys and The Pixies, it is sure that every song's two minutes are filled with fast riffs and totally weird lyrics. That might sound awful, but weirdness makes Yup what it is -- very original and unique, and all that in a positive way. The sound of Huuda Harkiten can be described by its first track, "Sikamusiikkia" (Pig Music): very much guitar-ridden, but also the new keyboard player, Tommi Kärkkäinen, has done a great job with his instrument. Read More
