Led by frontwoman Sarah Mcleod, the Australian alternative rock band The Superjesus was formed in Adelaide in late 1994. The group's debut, an EP titled Eight Step Rail, spent over a month at the top of the Aussie independent charts, later garnering a pair of ARIA awards (the down under equivalent of the Grammys). In 1998, The Superjesus returned with their full-length major-label debut, Sumo. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
