Secret Square

Another outgrowth of the ever-expanding Elephant 6 recording collective, the indie pop duo Secret Square comprised Apples in Stereo drummer Hilarie Sidney and Lisa Janssen, who previously played bass on the Neutral Milk Hotel album On Avery Island. Secret Square debuted in 1995 with a self-titled seven-inch issued on E6; a full-length follow-up, also eponymously titled, appeared a year later. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
