The trio of vocalist/guitarist Jesse Rhodes, bassist Stan Betters and drummer David Liker formed Stegosaurus in Santa Barbara, California, initially as a musical concern for Rhodes' singer/songwriter experiments with a four-track recorder. The group signed to Reprise and recorded with producer Adam Kasper; their debut album appeared in May 1998. ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
