Georgian fiddler Eddie Anthony played country blues during the 1920s and '30s, as well as playing alongside Peg Leg Howell. Anthony and guitarist Henry Williams recorded the song "Georgia Crawl" together, and were members of Peg Leg Howell's Gang. In the late '20s, the string band recorded "Banjo Blues" as well as the dance tune "Turkey Buzzard Blues," which is better known as "Turkey in the Straw." The fiddler performed with Howell's band until his own death in 1934. ~ Joslyn Layne, All Music Guide
